Take a magical night time journey through the culture and history of Thomastown and experience one of our oldest suburbs in a new light.
Gather at dusk and explore the world around you as you walk from Main Street Recreation Reserve, along Edgars Creek, through Ziebell’s Farm Museum and Heritage Garden.
Be amazed by the breathtaking array of light installations, sculptures, art, live music, performances, soundscapes, and family-friendly entertainment.
The evening will kick off at 5:45pm with a magical parade, brought to you by local schools and the Thomastown Neighbourhood House.
Be prepared for changing weather conditions and please wear sturdy shoes and warm clothes. The walk is about 1.6km, so please dress appropriately. Food and beverages are available for purchase on the night, but you’re encouraged to bring a water bottle.
Walking Thomastown is a night-time event so you may like to consider a torch.
Event parking is available out the front of TRAC and the Thomastown Library, at the Main St Recreational Reserve and surrounding streets.
The Thomastown Neighbourhood House and YPRL are hosting a free Magical Party prior to the main event. The Magical Party features dress-ups, a magic show, and a whole lot of fun!
