A presentation of the Art Heritage of The Nillumbik Shire
An initiative of the Rotary Club of Eltham
The Eltham Art Show provides an exciting platform and welcomes Artists to present their works to be judged within 11 categories. Attractive prize monies are on offer.
Artists must have a strong connection to the heritage of the Nillumbik Shire in order to qualify for the show.
Saturday July 1st will be one of the most important dates leading up to event. Submissions and registration to exhibit will open. No doubt there is already a flurry of brushes, tools and imaginations happening right now, creating the most colourful, precise and captivating pieces ready to be admired, selected, judged and sold.
Artists will be invited to register for the “enPlein-Air Painting Challenge” from July 1st to join the challenge on the 19th August. Walk in the footsteps of the early Australian Impressionists. There are eight or more locations to choose from. We encourage those who have not experienced the pleasure of Outdoor Location painting to unravel your senses, be brave and let those creative images express themselves.
The show encompasses two main venues. The exhibition of the 3D works are being held at Montsalvat with the 2D being shown at the Eltham Community and Reception Centre. The joint venues offer the diversity of the mediums. A focus and appreciation of the individuality of the pieces. Delightful settings to experience.
